Post Doctoral Research Associate UMass Amherst
The Physics Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of computational condensed matter theory. As part of the Simons Collaboration on the Many Electron Problem, Amherst group directs the effort on the Diagrammatic Monte Carlo (DiagMC) method. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work on DiagMC together with Nikolay Prokof’ev and Boris Svistunov, in cooperation with other Collaboration’s DiagMC groups: The Center for Computational Quantum Physics of Simons Foundation’s Flatiron Institute, New York; Rutgers University; École Polytechnique, Paris; King’s College, London. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of an extension of up to two additional years.
