Assistant/Associate Professor - Movement Neuroscience UMass Amherst
The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking talented applicants qualified for two tenure track faculty positions in the Kinesiology Department in the area of Movement Neuroscience, one at the level of Assistant Professor and one at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor. The Department of Kinesiology has a long history of supporting outstanding movement science research and graduate training. These positions are two of three new faculty searches in the areas of Movement Neuroscience and Biomechanics in the Department this year, demonstrating the university’s commitment to excellence in this field.  Example areas of interest for scientific inquiry for these two positions include the relation between physical activity or exercise and brain cognitive function, neuromuscular control of posture and locomotion, and sensorimotor integration. This is a full-time, tenure track, 9-month appointment with a competitive start-up package and salary range commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Assistant Professor - Biomechanics UMass Amherst
The University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst is seeking applicants qualified for a tenure track faculty position in the Kinesiology Department at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Biomechanics. The Department of Kinesiology has a long history of supporting outstanding biomechanics research and graduate training. This is one of three new faculty positions in the areas of Biomechanics and Movement Neuroscience in Kinesiology this year, demonstrating the university’s commitment to excellence in this field. Example areas of interest for scientific inquiry in biomechanics include but are not limited to: musculoskeletal modeling, musculotendon dynamics and advanced imaging of tissue mechanics. Departmental Assistant - Summer 2019 UMass Amherst
Departmental Assistant will prepare stimuli and software for experiments, collect behavioral and fMRI data from human subjects, perform statistical analyses of the data, and write up the results. Some administrative duties within the Lab will include participant recruitment, collecting fMRI and behavioral session data, and preparing/managing IRB protocols, and Report to the PI and/or graduate students and postdoctoral researchers working in the Lab.
