The Research Fellow will be expected to work with a high level of independence, prioritize all aspects of research activities with minimal supervision, and self-initiate suggestions and approaches to research efforts. Research populations may include sexual and gender minority people, people who use drugs, and health care providers and staff. The candidate will analyze primary and secondary data, coordinate training events, ensure that research projects meet regulatory requirements, coordinate the work of students and staff, prepare budget reports, assist with project management and grant-writing, co-author reports and papers for dissemination, and perform other research-related tasks. |

The Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (https://www.umass.edu/honors/) invites applicants for a full-time (9-month academic year/MSP Union), non-tenure track lecturer for classroom instruction within the honors curriculum. The honors courses to be taught include an interdisciplinary freshman seminar, “Ideas That Change the World,” which is comprised of units on models of inquiry, social thought, science and technology, and the arts. Other honors courses may include those affiliated with residential academic programs, honors thesis seminar, and others with General Education designations. This person will also perform service in support of the mission and goals of the College. |

The History Department of the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-system appointment expected to start on September 1, 2025, at the level of Assistant Professor in the History of the Modern Middle East. Areas of specialization are open. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda, and teach four courses per academic year, including high-enrollment introductory surveys and undergraduate and graduate seminars in their research fields, and will contribute to the service needs of the department, college, and university. |
