Job Summary
As part of the Undergraduate Student Success Center, the Associate Director for Academic Integrity & Services drives initiatives that promote student persistence, retention, and holistic development through strategic interventions with students and intentional collaborations with campus partners. Reporting to the Director of Student Success Persistence Programs & Advising Support, this role leads campus efforts to uphold academic integrity and manages the implementation of the University's Academic Integrity and Grievance policies.
Essential Functions
- Provides campus-wide leadership operationalizing the faculty-led policy of Academic Integrity as it applies to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Serves as the primary liaison for students and instructors engaging with the informal resolutions or formal hearing process for Academic Integrity.
- Oversees the daily management of Academic Integrity and Grievances cases, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, including timely resolutions of cases.
- Provides resources and consultations to students, faculty, and staff with questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Oversees scheduling and distribution of materials for Formal Charge Appeal Hearings, University Sanction Hearings, and Academic Grievance Hearings. Attends hearings as a representative for the Academic Integrity Office to provide policy and procedure direction and to record the hearing.
- Promotes a culture of strength-based learning, student agency, and wellbeing through the development of educational tools, resources, and training for faculty, staff, and students.
- Provides primary leadership on records technology and communication for Academic Integrity and Academic Grievance operations, including supporting the maintenance of the Academic Integrity and Academic Grievance databases by performing regular audits and updates.
- Prepares reports on Academic Integrity trends on campus and provides them to campus stakeholders as requested or on a project basis.
- Aligns procedures with related campus policies and fosters ongoing collaborative partnerships with units such as the Registrar’s Office, Ombuds Office, Office for Student Conduct & Community Standards, the Libraries, the Center for Teaching & Learning, and College-based liaisons.
- Collaborates with campus governing bodies to recruit faculty and student members of the Academic Integrity Board.
- Contributes to persistence and success activities including support for academic advising, registration and placement activities, and academic interventions.
- In collaboration with colleagues in the Undergraduate Student Success Center, supports cross-campus partnerships to foster student engagement, first-year and transfer student programs, and represents student success efforts at events and meetings.
- Contributes toward a positive and respectful workplace.
- Uses access to sensitive information only in the performance of the responsibilities of the position and exercise care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.
- Understands and upholds responsibilities with respect to FERPA, Title IX, Clery, and other compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Four (4) years of full-time professional experience, or the equivalent, providing student services at a college/university or another educational setting, which includes direct experience administering a campus policy.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Teams (or the equivalent) and web-based applications.
- Demonstrated experience creating and delivering educational materials, trainings, and public-facing documents.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capacity for independent project management.
- Discretion when overseeing private and consequential information and a non-judgmental approach to complex learning conditions.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Experience with the implementation of academic integrity or conduct policies in a college setting.
- Experience implementing campus policy that includes conflict resolution options or graduated sanctions.
- Professional experience in higher education.
- Supervision of graduate students, undergraduate students, or full-time staff.
- Experience teaching or contributing to a teaching infrastructure.
- Experience with emerging uses of artificial intelligence in education.
- Experience serving a diverse learning community including students whose prior schooling occurred outside the United States.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Typical office environment.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week).
- Some nights and weekends.

This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee’s work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the Professional Staff Union, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the Professional Staff Union collective bargaining agreement.
