Case Manager UMass Amherst
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Student Life, the Case Manager provides intake for, meets directly with, and develops a supportive action plan for a case load of students experiencing medical, mental health, and/or family emergencies.  Cases are managed in collaboration with on-and off-campus partners with the end goal of creating a long-term success plan by connecting students with appropriate resources.  The Case Manager ensures students receive appropriate interventions, referrals, follow-up services and monitoring in order to maximize student success and minimize community members’ distress. Post Doctoral Research Associate (Wadsworth Lab) UMass Amherst
The Wadsworth Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass, Amherst), in a collaborative project with the Ross Lab at Syracuse University, seeks a Post Doctoral Research Associate to perform research on mitotic spindle dynamics and mechanics. This will include generating mammalian cells using CRISPR or siRNA to test candidate MAPs in spindle function. The appointee is expected to establish some independence in research design and execution, and to publish her/his work as appropriate in collaboration with the principle investigators.

Shop & Facilities Manager - Dept. Environmental Conservation UMass Amherst
Under the general supervision of the department chair, the Shop and Facilities Manager for Environmental Conservation will support the department’s shop and lab facilities, including the Gloucester Marine Lab; be responsible for all lab renovation and building maintenance projects; coordinate all lab safety; coordinate maintenance of vehicle fleet; coordinate maintenance needs on forest properties; and coordinate logistical services including supervising technical and shop personnel and providing technical assistance with the Shop and Facilities Manager at the Olver Design Building (requiring cross-training in woodworking, CNC milling, 3D printing, laser cutting, vacuum forming and materials fabrication and testing). Will also devise, modify and construct equipment and specialty items for classes and research.
Research Fellow UMass Amherst
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the candidate will perform activities on multiple research projects. The candidate will be expected to work with a high level of independence, prioritize all aspects of research activities with minimal supervision, and self-initiate suggestions and approaches to research efforts. Research populations will include: people with opioid and other substance use disorders, criminal offenders, incarcerated individuals, mentally ill individuals, and state- and county-level administrators in the fields of public health, medicine and health care delivery, criminal justice, and public policy.
