Research Fellow UMass Amherst
To lead and support research activities in the Reich Lab in the UMass-Amherst Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology related to a CDC-funded project “Center for Implementation in Outbreak Analytics and Disease Modeling: Multi-Scale Outbreak Decision-Support Tools.” As part of this project, our team is developing an ecosystem of open-source tools called the Hubverse. This technology suite is designed to assist public health agencies and academic modelers by creating data standards and open-source tools to organize and administer collaborative infectious disease modeling projects, referred to as modeling “hubs”. The successful candidate in this position will participate in developing, documenting, and testing software for the Hubverse.
Strategic Communications & Marketing Specialist UMass Amherst
The Strategic Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and management of strategic communications and marketing activities for the University Libraries. The specialist produces communications content for multiple audiences (including, but not limited to, campus community, and members of the public), using a variety of print, digital, web, and social media channels in a clear, concise, and compelling way.  Reporting directly to the Dean of University Libraries, the specialist also provides direct support for the Dean in way of library wide communications. In addition, the specialist will engage with the Library Leadership Team, Department Heads Management Group, and Libraries staff to assist with collate information related to progress towards strategic priorities for the generation of news stories and other communications.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, the Strategic Content Creator takes a lead role in telling the stories of the UMass Amherst Fine Arts Center — focusing on the organization’s mission; its arts, education, and community engagement programs; its people; its role within the university; its position as a campus and community leader in such areas as empowerment, social justice, and climate justice; and its critical position in bringing world-class performing and visual artists to western Massachusetts. The Strategic Content Creator creates, adapts, and repurposes Fine Arts Center stories to serve a variety of audiences and purposes, including but not limited to existing and prospective patrons, university leadership, campus and community constituencies, and grant-giving organizations.
