| The History Department of the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-system appointment expected to start on September 1, 2025, at the level of Assistant Professor in the History of the Modern Middle East. Areas of specialization are open. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda, and teach four courses per academic year, including high-enrollment introductory surveys and undergraduate and graduate seminars in their research fields, and will contribute to the service needs of the department, college, and university. |

Coordinator of Commonwealth Honors College Co-Curricular Events

| This position collaborates with all Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) units to implement student events, programs, and activities for all CHC students. This position will include working with the Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community (CHCRC) residential hall staff to plan inclusive and co-programming to ensure that all CHC students experience a living and learning community regardless of their residential area. This position will also plan and implement various co-curricular and extracurricular programming and assume responsibilities for the CHC inductions for our first-year students at the beginning of the fall semester. Additionally, this position will coordinate recruitment and outreach activities in collaboration with the UMass Amherst Office of Admissions. This position will also supervise the student ambassadors who are involved in recruitment and outreach events and activities. |

| Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Campus Development, the Assistant Director of Residential Planning and Capital Projects is responsible for organizing and managing a group of professional staff in the management of the programming, planning and design of housing capital projects, feasibility studies, and deferred maintenance management and capital projects; the development and organization of project management processes and procedures; and the management of personally assigned projects in direct support of the overarching mission of Campus Life and the University. |
