Reporting to the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences' (CICS) Associate Director of Communications, the Communications Manager is responsible for the conceptualization, creation, production, editing, and marketing of content for a variety of platforms. The Communications Manager will be part of a small team of communications professionals who support the college in the achievement of its vision, mission, and strategic goals, with an emphasis on raising the visibility of the college’s faculty and research activities and developing and sustaining an effective, unified message. |
Slavery North Research Fellow

Slavery North fellowships are open to regional, national, and international candidates enrolled in MA/MFA and PhD programs in the Humanities and Fine Arts fields with a thesis or dissertation component. Fellows must actively participate in both the scholarly and social environment of the Slavery North. With the support of Slavery North leadership, they will conduct their independent research and create original research/works in one or more of the five mandate areas of Slavery North which include: 1) Canadian Slavery, (2) slavery in the US North, (3) the comparative study of slavery in Canada, the US North, and other northern or temperate regions, (4) the study of the inter-connectedness of slavery in Canada and the US North with Caribbean Slavery, and (5) Black-Indigenous relations in Canadian Slavery or US North Slavery. Furthermore, the research must center on the enslaved and/or adopt an anti-colonial, de-colonial, post-colonial, and/or anti-racist methodology/approach which challenges the nature of European and Euro-American imperialism and colonialism and interrogates the racist logic of the institution of Transatlantic Slavery. |
Visiting (Open Rank) Research Professor

Provides executive level administrative support to the Dean of University Libraries by assisting in a wide range of complex and confidential matters including overseeing the Dean’s schedule, researching and preparing reports and presentations, screening visitors and telephone calls, composing or preparing other correspondence, and maintaining paper and electronic files. The Executive Assistant I also provides additional support to members of the Libraries’ Leadership Team and assists in various special projects and initiatives on behalf of the group. |

Provides executive-level support to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and University’s MarCom group leadership team which is comprised of the various team leaders in MarCom: marketing strategy, web, creative, Constituent Relationship Management (CRM). Requires a high level of discretion, accountability, coordination, knowledge, and competence. Provides a variety of administrative support functions for the University MarCom Group. Establishes and implements operational procedures to ensure that this large and very fast-paced office runs efficiently thus enabling the team to meet campus wide marketing needs. |
