The Debold Muscle Biophysics Lab is seeking talented applicants for a full-time, Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Kinesiology Department as part of a five-year grant from the NIH to study the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle contraction, intracellular transport and the formation of complex cellular structures. The goal of this work is to understand how the load-dependent proteins of the molecular motor myosin enable it to perform complex cellular processes when working as a team of motors. |

The Technical Assistant II (Landscaping) performs horticultural work on campus landscapes including planning out and monitoring the planting and maintenance of flowers, flowering shrubs, annual plants and perennial plants. Works under the supervision of the Maintenance Working Foreman and Head of Grounds, who prioritizes work and provides guidance on policies and procedures. This position is responsible for all technical maintenance aspects of the care and culture of campus, annuals, perennials and woody ornamentals. |
Laboratory Technician I

Perform laboratory and field work, in consultation with the Director, in support of several grant-funded applied water quality monitoring and research projects. Carry out water sample collection, processing, and analysis following established protocols and assigned field schedules. Manage assigned tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines in alignment with Center objectives. Maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment, coordinate QA/QC activities, and ensure compliance with certification requirements. Support data management and assist in preparation for laboratory audits and reporting. Coordinate daily activities and ensure smooth operation of the Environmental Analysis Laboratory. |

The Director will maintain ongoing obligations and develop new collaborations for CEE to support its mission, maintain its financial stability, and enhance its value to the Commonwealth and university. The Director will bring new expertise to CEE and is expected to develop applied research and/or public service and outreach activities consistent with the CEE mission. The Director will be responsible for managing CEE staff and their professional development. The Director will hold a faculty position in the Department of Environmental Conservation and teach one to two courses per year in clean energy and the energy transition, as well as contribute to other departmental service needs typical for faculty. Joint affiliation with another academic department may be considered based on the candidate’s background. |
