Civilian Advocate for Victims of Sexual and Domestic Violence UMass Amherst
Under the general supervision of Director of Sexual Assault Support & Advocacy Services, provides services for victims/survivors and their loved ones impacted by sexual and relationship violence and stalking as part of rape crisis team. In addition to providing services onsite, the Civilian Advocate provides services at area police departments and on campus. Works with Northwestern District Attorney’s Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit and Victim Witness Advocates to support victims involved in criminal justice processes and consults with legal system personnel (i.e., prosecutor, parole officer, advocates,) to gather or share information for safety planning and to discuss progress of the legal case in the criminal justice system.
Utilities Instrumentation and Controls Technician (Deferred Maintenance Team) UMass Amherst
The Utilities Instrumentation and Controls Technician (Deferred Maintenance Team) is responsible for testing, certifying, installing, repairing, and inspecting instrument and control systems. They maintain instruments that measure, record, and operate the process-controlled systems used in research buildings and supports the campus with instrument calibrations.
Outreach and Broadening Participation Senior Coordinator for CBIKS (Hybrid or Remote Opportunity) UMass Amherst
The National Science Foundation Center for Braiding Indigenous Knowledges and Science (NSF CBIKS) The Outreach and Broadening Participation Senior Coordinator oversees the broader impacts activities for the NSF CBIKS, including broadening participation, education, and knowledge transfer. The Senior Coordinator carries out broadening participation activities, including mentorship and skill development for post doc and graduate student cohorts, community-building and cultural competency training for the NSF CBIKS team, youth and community engagement design, and protocols and action plan development. This position also coordinates outreach strategy and network-building activities for key audiences relevant to the NSF CBIKS mission.    This is a term-limited position. Continuation of the position for an additional five years is contingent upon grant funding.
