| Installs, repairs, alters and maintains fluid transmission systems, sanitary fixtures, heating systems, low and high pressure steam lines, condensate lines, water lines, sprinkler lines, sewer lines; and performs other related work as required, including but not limited to, trade related asbestos abatement, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as; pneumatic control systems, heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, cooling towers, pumps and related equipment. Employing the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; works synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, exercises functional supervision of other employees of lower grade performing related repair and maintenance activities. |

This position performs complex analysis to develop and maintain a comprehensive process for resource allocation based on institutional criticality. Discerns key factors including safety risk, impact on core operations, compliance and regulatory considerations, or financial impact. Enables strategic planning through recommendation of short and long range financial improvements, develops processes, policies and procedures that ensure long term strategic alignment and preservation of equipment asset controls. Supports the well-being of campus through ensuring that the physical environment, infrastructure and equipment function safely, reliably and efficiently. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Alterations. |
