Assistant Director of Building Maintenance UMass Amherst
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Building Maintenance & Alterations, the Assistant Director of Building Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the Academic and Research facilities located on the UMass Amherst campus and outlying stations. This position directly supervises Building Maintenance Managers and indirectly supervises Institutional Maintenance Foremen.  Reviews schematic design diagrams, construction documents, and product and/or equipment submittals.  Plans repair and preventive maintenance and assists with planning of Capital Improvement Projects needed to keep all systems operating reliably. Represents the Physical Plant in the Facilities Planning Division on all matters related to design, construction, and start-up and commissioning of new construction and renovation projects.
Sustainability Manager UMass Amherst
Monitors, analyzes, and reports on sustainability data, researches current trends, and proposes measures to enhance the sustainability of division-wide procurement for Auxiliary Enterprises. Post Doctoral Research Associate - Cranberry Station, CAFE UMass Amherst
The UMass Cranberry Station is seeking applicants to fill a postdoctoral research associate position in East Wareham, Massachusetts. The incumbent will work under the general supervision of Principal Investigator, Dr. Giverson Mupambi, and will conduct research related to cranberry physiology in agrivoltaic systems. The research will look at the effect of different shading treatments as determined by inter-row spacing under an agrivoltaic system in cranberry production.
Contrls & Refrig Syst. Spec (Plumber) UMass Amherst
Installs, repairs, alters and maintains fluid transmission systems, sanitary fixtures, heating systems, low and high pressure steam lines, condensate lines, water lines, sprinkler lines, sewer lines; and performs other related work as required, including but not limited to, trade related asbestos abatement, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as; pneumatic control systems, heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, cooling towers, pumps and  related  equipment. Calls also involve fire alarms, sprinkler activation, and custodial calls that present a health or safety risk. Performs scheduled maintenance tasks as required or as assigned. Coordinates the actions of personnel called to resolve emergency situations.
