Postdoctoral Research Associate UMass Amherst

The Skouta group ( is seeking a highly motivated 12 months post-doc with chemical biology and pharmaceutical chemistry expertise to join the laboratory. The Skouta group research covers chemical biology, chemistry, protein chemistry, computer modeling, biological assays and in vitro studies. The major interest of the lab is the development of small molecule inducers of ferroptosis cell death with well-defined target(s) for cancer therapeutics. Ferroptosis is a recently emerged novel cell death that may complement the known programmed cell death.

Postdoctoral Research Associate - Information Fusion Lab UMass Amherst
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral position in machine learning for healthcare in the Information Fusion Lab at UMass Amherst. Our project, 4Thought, aims to address one of the biggest needs in Alzheimer’s disease research, an ability for the early diagnosis of this disease. To this end, we are developing novel diagnostic technology on brain structural MRIs, cognitive test scores and biomarkers. Lecturer - Environmental Conservation UMass Amherst
The Department of Environmental Conservation seeks talented applicants for a full-time (9-month academic year), non-tenure-track appointment as Lecturer in Wildlife Conservation. Earliest appointment date is January 2021 with an initial appointment for two years. The University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute (UMDI) Regional Head Start business unit provides training, consultation and other technical assistance to Head Start grantees throughout the six New England states.  This training, consulting and technical assistance supports Head Start programs in their continuous improvement of comprehensive services to low-income children and families from birth to age five, with special focus on helping preschoolers develop the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in school. The Associate Director provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the development and oversight of the campus regulatory program for protecting the rights and welfare of human subjects in research. Post Doctoral Research Associate - Geosciences UMass Amherst
The emergence and submergence history of the Bering Strait remains a puzzle in understanding both it the Pacific/Arctic gateway history but also its role in controlling the flow and stability of ocean currents between the Arctic, Pacific and the North Atlantic. We seek applications for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow (one year but renewable to two) with computer skills in dynamic topography modeling and Glacial Isostatic Adjustments to explore how regional and far field geophysics can be used to reconcile both land-based paleoshorelines and marine based paleoceanographic records to better understanding the history of the Beringian gateway and its climatic impacts. The time frame of interest concerns change over glacial/interglacial timescales since the first submergence of the Strait roughly 5 million years ago.
Departmental Assistant / Clinical Specimen Processor UMass Amherst
The Clinical Specimen Processor works collaboratively with all team members toward the best outcomes for a Clinical Testing Laboratory and the UMass organization.
