The Building and Construction Technology (BCT) program in the Department of Environmental Conservation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking applications for a 12-month, non-tenure-track, full-time appointment as Lecturer in Digital Design and Professional Communication in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction). Candidates must care deeply about education in construction and sustainability, and be a teacher, mentor, and scientist whose interests are broad and support the pedagogy that allows students to gain the ability to analyze and solve complex problems in the built environment. Competitive candidates should be comfortable using active learning strategies and with in-person, hybrid, and online course delivery.
Post Doctoral Research Associate - Quantitative Ecologists UMass Amherst
Amphibians and reptiles face a large number of escalating threats to the viability and persistence of their populations. These threats are multi-faceted, complex, and require advanced quantitative tools to tacklet. Therefore, we seek to hire up to three postdoctoral researchers to work on questions which can provide essential scientific information for conservation and management decision-making related to amphibians and reptiles. We focus on using a combination of decision analysis, quantitative modeling of empirical data, and predictive modeling and forecasting. This work is a collaboration among the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Massachusetts Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit (MA Coop Unit) and the USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center at the SO Conte Anadromous Fish Research Lab.

Under the general direction of the Director of Center for Counseling and Psychological Health (CCPH). Post-Doctoral Fellows receive advanced training and supervision in psychological assessment, with a heavy emphasis on the evaluation of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and, to a lesser extent, Learning Disabilities. Post-Doctoral Fellows are expected to complete twenty assessments during the training year. Fellows also provide psychotherapy to undergraduate and graduate students who may experience a broad range of emotional, psychological, personal, and/or academic difficulties. Fellows' participant in the on-call rotation. Clinical case supervision is provided for psychotherapy and psychological assessment by licensed psychologists. Fellows will participate in weekly staff and clinical meetings, as well as various seminars and workgroups. May perform other duties as formulated by the director. This is a 12-month position.
