Academic Advisor & Student Outreach Coordinator UMass Amherst
The Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL) Academic Advisor and Student Outreach Coordinator manages undergraduate student advising for all UMass students pursuing the Civic Engagement and Public Service (CEPS) Certificate and the Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration (BDIC)-Civic Engagement (CivX) program track. The position is also responsible for student outreach and recruitment for all CESL programs and courses, teaches an introductory service-learning course, and works collaboratively with a variety of curricular and co-curricular campus units to promote and support UMass students’ engaged learning opportunities.
Bilingual Senior Rape Crisis Advocate UMass Amherst
Under general supervision of the Co-Director for Rape Crisis and Violence Prevention Services, the Bilingual Senior Rape Crisis Advocate will work with the Center for Women and Community (CWC) counseling team and provide short term peer counseling, crisis intervention, and medical and legal advocacy to survivors, non-offending family members, and significant others. Supervise 1-10 students. This is a grant-funded position with reappointment beyond 6/30/2020 dependent on funding availability.
Off Campus Student Life Coordinator UMass Amherst
Under the direction of the Associate Director for Off Campus Student Life and Community Engagement, the Off Campus Student Life Coordinator provides education, outreach and support to students during the transition to, and while living off campus, focusing on their successful experiences as tenants and students in the local community area. Coordinates day-to-day operation of community-based interventions, such as the Walk This Way program to mitigate noise in residential neighborhoods, and implements educational programs to promote positive community relations between students and neighbors. Collaborates with town and University police, inspection services, and Dean of Students Office around off campus issues related to student rentals, alcohol/drug related behavior, and nuisance house issues.

Under general direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Equal Opportunity, the Investigator will effectively investigate alleged violations of campus non-discrimination policies, including discrimination, harassment, and related retaliation. W.E.B. DU BOIS FELLOWSHIP TRAINING OVERVIEW The mission of the CCPH W.E.B. Du Bois Diversity Fellowship is to continue the multicultural training and clinical experience of the early career clinician who has successfully completed the masters in social work or doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology. We will offer continued supervised clinical experience, to deepen and broaden the fellow's clinical skills. Our goal is for them to leave the fellowship on route to the independent level of clinical practice and prepared to take on leadership roles. Fellows will be expected, in addition to general clinical responsibilities, to provide training and support to underrepresented campus communities. The training philosophy/educational model is focused on developing practitioners in a university-based managed care setting. Our goal is to produce very competent multi-modal practitioners who will successfully transfer treatment skills to a variety of outpatient settings within the rapidly evolving world of health care. To achieve this, fellows will work as a part of our multidisciplinary treatment team utilizing a variety of brief treatment modalities to address a wide range of diagnoses and presenting problems. These include intensive brief therapies for individuals, couples, crisis intervention, on-call management of emergencies, and outreach/consultation. Disciplines represented within our treatment team include clinical social work, clinical and counseling psychology, psychiatry, and advanced practice nursing, together with trainees in psychology, social work, and psychiatry. In addition, a community mentor specifically drawn from a pool of qualified licensed clinicians of color will be engaged to mentor and support the W.E.B. Du Bois Fellow.
