Associate/Full Professor - Biomedical/Chemical Engineering in UMass Amherst
The Departments of Chemical Engineering (ChE) and Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The position will be a 50:50 joint appointment between ChE and BME. Individuals with research interests broadly across the entire intersection of ChE and BME will be considered. These areas include, but are not limited to biomaterials, pharmaceutical development, drug delivery, oncology, biosensors, and biotechnology. Applicants working in areas with a strong clinical and translational focus are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to teach existing graduate and undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and will be encouraged to develop creative new curricula in areas of their interest or across disciplines. The projected start date for these roles is September 1, 2025.

The Educator II, 4-H School and Community Educator is responsible for engaging and collaborating with diverse groups and organizations (schools, libraries, community/health centers, social service agencies) to design and deliver 4-H resources, programs and curricula. This position will work with 4-H program staff to develop and maintain relationships and connections within the broader Massachusetts 4-H community. The position will be based out of the Plymouth County Extension Office in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This is a 2-year position with potential for renewal.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the area of High Frequency Electronics. Tenure-track faculty members are expected to develop an internationally recognized scholarly presence, an externally funded research program, collaborations in interdisciplinary research teams, to effectively mentor graduate students, teach existing courses in our curriculum and to develop creative new curricula in areas of their interest or across disciplines. Candidates should envision a research and teaching program consistent with the College of Engineering’s Strategic Plan. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2025. Postdoctoral Research Associate - Wildlife Ecology & Conservation in UMass Amherst
The Senner Lab at UMass in the Department of Environmental Conservation is looking for a postdoctoral research associate. The position will support a collaborative NSF-funded project – along with the Velotta Lab at the University of Denver and Cheviron Lab at the University of Montana (UMT) – studying the influence of parasitic botflies on the demography, physiology, and evolutionary biology of deer mice (Peromyscus maniculatus) in the Colorado Rockies in the context of climate change. The preferred candidate will have a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, or a related field, and will have experience with demographic analyses or climate change modelling. The position will be for 12 months with a potential to renew for up to three years. The start date is negotiable between December 1, 2024–March 1, 2025.
