Program Manager for Student Success Academic Programs (Hybrid Opportunity) UMass Amherst
The Program Manager for Student Success Academic Programs provides management and oversight for academic initiatives in Undergraduate Student Success (UGSS) and Student Success Academic Programs (SSAP). Reporting to the Director of Student Success Academic Programs, the Program Manager leads the development, implementation, and assessment of signature programs that complement classroom and co-curricular experiences to promote student academic success.
Communications Manager (Hybrid) UMass Amherst
Reporting to the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences' (CICS) Associate Director of Communications, the Communications Manager is responsible for the conceptualization, creation, production, editing, and marketing of content for a variety of platforms. The Communications Manager will be part of a small team of communications professionals who support the college in the achievement of its vision, mission, and strategic goals, with an emphasis on raising the visibility of the college’s faculty and research activities and developing and sustaining an effective, unified message.
Slavery North Research Fellow UMass Amherst
Slavery North fellowships are open to regional, national, and international candidates enrolled in MA/MFA and PhD programs in the Humanities and Fine Arts fields with a thesis or dissertation component. Fellows must actively participate in both the scholarly and social environment of the Slavery North. With the support of Slavery North leadership, they will conduct their independent research and create original research/works in one or more of the five mandate areas of Slavery North which include: 1) Canadian Slavery, (2) slavery in the US North, (3) the comparative study of slavery in Canada, the US North, and other northern or temperate regions, (4) the study of the inter-connectedness of slavery in Canada and the US North with Caribbean Slavery, and (5) Black-Indigenous relations in Canadian Slavery or US North Slavery. Furthermore, the research must center on the enslaved and/or adopt an anti-colonial, de-colonial, post-colonial, and/or anti-racist methodology/approach which challenges the nature of European and Euro-American imperialism and colonialism and interrogates the racist logic of the institution of Transatlantic Slavery.
Visiting (Open Rank) Research Professor UMass Amherst
The Visiting (Open Rank) Research Professor for Slavery North will actively participate in both the scholarly and social environment of the center. Seasonal Admissions Reader/Reviewer - Temporary Professional UMass Amherst
Under the direction of the Senior Associate Director of First-Year Admissions, this position reads, reviews, and renders decisions about undergraduate admissions to the University. Readers evaluate information presented by prospective students in support of their applications for admission and determine suitability for acceptance. The position may also be asked to recruit prospective students in a specific territory by giving presentations, attending college fairs, visiting high schools, and communicating with students and families.
