The Department of Physical Therapy and Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a Director of Clinical Education to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Full Clinical Professor, 9-month contract with additional compensation for summer clinical education requirements. The Director of Clinical Education will lead the clinical education program areas in the department’s graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and undergraduate Exercise Science programs and will have responsibilities including teaching, service, and advancement in pedagogy. Building Maintenance Response Technician (Controls & Refrigeration System Specialist) UMass Amherst
Acts as the first responder for all off-shift maintenance calls for all off-shift Metasys Building Operation Systems alarms, temperature (too hot/too cold) calls, and calls involving emergency and routine repairs (as allowed by existing codes) involving non-licensed plumbing, electrical, elevator entrapments and failures, heat and cooling systems, security hardware, locks and life safety equipment failures. Calls also involve fire alarms, sprinkler activation, and custodial calls that present a health or safety risk. Performs corrective actions to trouble calls and alarms or determines that a specialized tradesperson or service contractor is required to make necessary repairs. Performs scheduled maintenance tasks as required or as assigned. Coordinates the actions of personnel called to resolve emergency situations.

The successful candidate will serve as a Research Fellow for an externally funded portfolio of community-engaged research studies. The Energy Manager holds a campus-wide responsibility for overseeing energy programs and analysis across approximately 4.97 million square feet of academic, research, administrative, and residential building space. This role is integral to advancing the University’s mission to achieve significant energy and cost savings while reducing its environmental impact by minimizing its carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions. The Energy Manager will play a critical role in developing, planning and implementing strategies to optimize energy use and reduce CO2 emissions across the University’s operations and capital programs. This includes advising on best practices, leveraging advanced building management system (BMS), maintaining a robust demand response program, and coordinating scheduled building retro-commissioning to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability. In addition, the Energy Manager will collaborate to monitor utility costs, develop an energy procurement strategy, and establish utility purchasing policies. This coordination ensures a cohesive approach to energy management, cost efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
