Job Summary

Perform the coordination and logistics of set up and execution of UMass football gameday fan experiences and hospitality offerings. Furthermore, tasked with carrying out various elements of the 2024 football strategic marketing plans. This position will lead all marketing initiatives, including season-long plans, game production, and advertising, for Women’s Basketball and other assigned sports under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director – Marketing, Sales and Fan Experience. Oversee advertising, planning and implementation of fan experience app and student rewards program.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assists Assistant Athletic Director – Marketing, Sales and Fan Experience to coordinate gameday hospitality and fan experience offerings.
  • Monitors and utilizes detailed budget for purposes of securing all requisite materials for conducting hospitality elements of marketing plan.
  • Coordinates and promotes aspects of the UMass football gameday experience, and managing the planning, staffing, ordering, and set up of elements involved in pregame fan and patron experiences.
  • Assists in aspects of community and campus outreach efforts aimed at growing home football attendance and interest amongst general fans and students.
  • On an on-going basis outside of the traditional football season, this role will aide in continually enhancing the football gameday experience, and capitalizing on promotional opportunities.
  • Establishes relationships within the community with key groups such as youth sport leagues, scouts, and schools to promote group outing opportunities.
  • Leads MinuteFan App advertising, planning and implementation of student rewards program.
  • Leads marketing efforts for women’s basketball and other assigned sports.
  • Assists marketing staff on various projects and special events as assigned.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to NCAA, conference, University, State and Federal rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Bachelor’s degree in sport management or related field required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Typical office environment activity.

 

Additional Details

  • Position is temporary and non-benefited. 
  • Dates of employment will be 7/22/2024 - 5/24/2025. 

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays may be required depending on the demands of the position.

 

Salary Information

$18.00 per hour.
