The University of Massachusetts Lowell recently received through the U.S. Department of Education, the Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) grant, which aims to mitigate AAPI students’ barriers to educational achievement by enhancing institutional programs and services.
The AANAPISI Program Assistant is a temporary, part-time, non-benefitted position working 18 hours a week. This role will be responsible for assisting in coordinating outreach and recruitment efforts to AAPI students, promote UMass Lowell’s AANAPISI program, and supports the mission and goals of the AANAPISI five-year grant funded program. The aim is to increase AAPI college degree attainment and overall student success.
The AANAPISI Program Assistant collaborates with the Project Director, Program Coordinators, and campus partners to implement educational programs, provide culturally appropriate direct services to the AACEE student cohort program such as personal, cultural support and collaborate on facilitating career preparedness, student wellbeing and wellness, financial awareness & literacy, and identity development topics.
This is a grant-funded, temporary, part time, non-benefitted position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding. Position is in-person. Employment term duration: January - September 2025 |
