Under the direction of the Director of the Student Legal Services Office (SLSO), the Assistant Director for Administration assumes a lead role in overseeing and managing the day to day SLSO law office policies and procedures, outreach initiatives, and data collection/reporting. Primary duties include but are not limited to; development, administration and management of SLSO, the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of non-attorney staff, and the management of the SLSO’s outreach and development efforts. This position will lead the SLSO’s strategic partnership development and represent the SLSO both within and outside the University in industry meetings and other law-related events. The Assistant Director for Administration will draft, oversee, and administer the implementation of policies concerning the provision of legal services to students, and will develop and manage a data-based assessment program in support of strategic planning and policy development.
Residence Director UMass Amherst
Residential Life at the University of Massachusetts Amherst educates and serves approximately 13,500 diverse domestic and international undergraduate and graduate students in residence hall and apartment communities.  We utilize a defined set of learning goals and outcomes as outlined by the UMass Amherst Residential Curriculum.  The Residence Director has overall responsibility for leading the development of safe, inclusive, and learner-centered residential communities of approximately 350 to 600 undergraduate students.  This position requires frequent and meaningful interaction with residential students.  This position has responsibility for community development, student learning, staff supervision, student conduct and incident response, administrative and project management tasks, and other general responsibilities both for the students within assigned communities and in greater service to Residential Life and Student Affairs and Campus Life and their shared commitment to student success.   The Residence Director is a live-in position and reports directly to an Assistant Director of Residence Education.
Case Manager UMass Amherst
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Student Life, the Case Manager provides intake for, meets directly with, and develops a supportive action plan for a case load of students experiencing medical, mental health, and/or family emergencies.  Cases are managed in collaboration with on-and off-campus partners with the end goal of creating a long-term success plan by connecting students with appropriate resources.  The Case Manager ensures students receive appropriate interventions, referrals, follow-up services and monitoring in order to maximize student success and minimize community members’ distress. The Case Manager meets directly with and develops educational and training plans in collaboration with on-and off-campus partners to assist in creating proactive and preventive approaches to student welfare.
