The Assistant Curator, Performing Arts/Asian and Asian American Performance (AC/AAAP) is supervised by and works with the Performing Arts Curator (PAC) to direct the activities of the Fine Arts Center's performing arts department and personnel. This assistant leadership position helps build a coherent, innovative, diverse, and socially relevant performing arts and culture season, featuring artists, projects and outreach and engagement activities from across disciplines, genres, and cultures, including music, dance, theatre, film/media, family shows, international, and more, and that preserves and enhances the identity and goals of the FAC. The AC/AAAP also directs FAC’s Asian and Asian American performance program, the longest-running university-based program of its kind in the country.

Non-Tenure Track Lecturer Afro-American Studies (History and Politics) in UMass Amherst
The W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies is seeking a full-time temporary non-tenure track (NTT) Lecturer for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This is a temporary, benefitted one year appointment that will teach a 3-3 class load concentrating in Politics and History. The preliminary schedule of classes to be taught is: Fall Semester AA132 African American History I, AA161 Introduction to Black Politics, AA390S Strike the Empire Back and in the Spring Semester AA236 History of the Civil Rights Movement, AA264 Foundations of Black Education in the US, AA390T Mapping the Black Freedom Movement. This is a 100% FTE (full-time equivalent) position.
