Job Summary
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking applications for a temporary, part-time Clinical Audiologist to join our team at the Center for Language, Speech, and Hearing. This position is patient-centered and focused on delivering evidence-based audiologic care to a diverse community population.
About the Center
The Center for Language, Speech, and Hearing is a university-based clinic serving individuals across the lifespan. Equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology technology, the Center provides a collaborative environment for clinical care, student training, and interdisciplinary engagement.
Essential Functions
- Comprehensive diagnostic audiology (pure-tone audiometry, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, speech-in-noise testing).
- Hearing aid selection, fitting, verification, and maintenance.
- Aural rehabilitation, patient counseling, and education.
- Collaborative care and clinical decision-making.
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Graduate degree in Audiology from an accredited university or college.
- Eligibility for Massachusetts audiology licensure.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) strongly preferred.

Work Schedule
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9am-5pm (16 hrs/week).
