Job Summary
Under the general direction and guidance of Dr. Leyao Wang, the Principal Investigator, this Laboratory Technician will perform lab experiments, sample processing, data collection, data analysis and interpretation as well as prepare the data for presentation and publication.
Essential Functions
- Prepare solutions for experiments.
- Perform cell cultures, bacterial cultures, virus preparation and infections.
- Compile and analyze data from assay.
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Previous lab experience
- Wet lab skills, including pipetting, cell cultures
- Ability to calculate dilutions and molarity
- Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Basic knowledge of statistics and statistical software
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Microbiology lab work experience.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Standing, Sitting, Typical Wet Lab Environment.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm, 40 hours/week
- This is a temporary, non-benefited position.
