Job Description

The Department of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time nine-month Lecturer position in U.S. literary and cultural studies to begin September 1, 2024, through 8/31/25. The teaching load is 3/3. The successful applicant will need to be able to teach a survey course that covers American Literature & Culture before 1865 and a first-year course in the American Experience. 

Other courses will be assigned based on the successful applicant’s specializations and interests.

 

Requirements

Ph.D. in English or related field and a successful teaching record.

 

Additional Information

40 hours per week (100%); full benefits; total salary: $57,000.
